the more that you'll learn, the more places you'll go."

This week was a blast! We finished our Division unit this week in Math and had our test. We started to learn about Fractions. We learned fraction terms, such as halves, thirds, fourths, etc. and how to identify the numerator and denominator. In Reading, we started the week by celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday. We read "Oh, the Places You'll Go" and completed an activity about our short term and long term goals in life. We also continued to read "A Dog's Life". In Writing we continued to work on our Informational pieces. We used books and the internet to research more facts on our topics. In Social Studies we continued learning about China. We learned how to count to ten and write numbers. We also learned about the animals that live in China. We read all about the Giant Panda. One thing we learned is that they eat about 40 pounds of bamboo each day! We also learned to play a new vocabulary game in Stations called "Outburst". It is a lot of fun! Until next week...Adios!
